Independent guides and comparisons for cruising France

Photography

Every photograph on this site is of the place its caption names. None of it is generated, and none of it is an operator’s own marketing photography.

Each one below is published under a licence that permits commercial use. Where the licence asks for the photographer to be credited, this page is the credit.

How these pictures are used

A photograph on a comparison site is a factual claim, not decoration. If the caption says Saint-Émilion, the picture has to be Saint-Émilion, so each image is checked against its own source description and captioned with the place the source names.

What we rule out

  • Generated destination imagery, in any position, for any reason.
  • Any operator’s ship, interior, branding or crew. This site compares those operators, and a photograph of one of them is an endorsement whatever the caption says.
  • Ocean cruise ships, which are a different product sold under similar words.
  • Frames in which a third-party business name is prominent.

Licensing and reuse

Every photograph below is published under the licence named beside it, and the photographer, the source file and the licence terms are listed for each one. If you want to reuse an image, take the terms from its licence rather than from this page: the rights are the photographer’s, and we cannot grant more than the licence does.
